A PCS coupon is a French prepaid recharge code, bought over the counter and designed to be loaded onto a PCS Mastercard or account. It is not a store gift card and not spendable money on its own — it becomes usable only inside the PCS system. That is precisely how people get stuck with one: the account they meant to top up has hit its loading ceiling, the account was closed or never opened, verification stalled, or the coupon was bought for someone with no PCS card at all.
A coupon that cannot be loaded is worth nothing to its holder and full value to someone who can place it. Selling it at 95% converts it into crypto: 25 EUR pays 23.75 EUR, 50 EUR pays 47.50 EUR, 100 EUR pays 95.00 EUR and 150 EUR pays 142.50 EUR. The 5% spread is flat across face values and the same on every coupon we take, and the payout figure is displayed before you submit the code.
What to check before selling PCS
PCS is euro-only, so there is one currency to quote in and no conversion to make a non-euro code fit. The code sits under a scratch panel on a till-printed ticket, and two things spoil it in practice: over-scratching and thermal fade. A coupon carried around for months can lose enough print to make a digit ambiguous, and an ambiguous digit cannot be verified. If two readings are plausible, tell us rather than guess — repeated failed attempts can get a code blocked at the issuer's end.
The trap specific to PCS is timing. A coupon is consumed by the top-up, not by the spending: the second it is loaded onto a PCS card or account, the code holds nothing. Sell first, load second. Partial balances are rare for the same reason, but where a remainder exists we quote 95% of the remainder. Rejections come down to a coupon already loaded, a code used elsewhere, a ticket blocked by the issuer, or digits misread from a faded panel. Only coupons the seller legitimately owns are accepted, and Giftreo never requests a PCS code by email, chat or DM.

- Is selling a PCS coupon legal?
- Selling a prepaid coupon you bought and still own is an ordinary disposal of your own property, and that is the only kind of code we buy. We cannot give legal advice on your circumstances, and the issuer's terms of use set out what a holder may do with a coupon, transfer restrictions included. Codes belonging to someone else are refused.
- What if the coupon has already been partly loaded?
- Then we quote 95% of what is left. A 150 EUR coupon with 100 EUR already loaded onto a card is a 50 EUR code and pays 47.50 EUR. PCS coupons tend to be all or nothing, because most top-ups take the whole value at once. The balance check runs before payment, so a smaller remainder means a smaller quote.
- How quickly am I paid, and in what?
- In BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL or LTC to a wallet address you give us, generally within about an hour after the code verifies. That is the usual case and not a promise: a manual check, a backlog or a slow chain confirmation can stretch it. No payment is released before verification.
- Which countries and currencies are accepted for PCS?
- PCS is a French euro product and that is what we buy — the coupon's origin matters, not your address, so a EUR code is quoted in EUR wherever you live. There is no USD or GBP PCS to quote against. If you are unsure which brand you hold, the issuer name is printed on the ticket.
- Do you need my ID, and can I sell more than one coupon?
- No identity document is needed for a standard payout; the check is on the code and its balance, not on you. Several coupons can be submitted together and paid as one — three 100 EUR coupons pay 285.00 EUR at 95%. Large or repeated batches get a question about where they came from, and anything we cannot account for is declined.
