Crypto Voucher (cryptovoucher.io) is a prepaid code that redeems for cryptocurrency on the issuer's own platform. It is sold at kiosks, corner shops and online resellers in 10, 25, 50 and 100 units, in EUR or USD, and it exists so that someone can hand over crypto value without sharing a wallet. People end up stuck with one when it was bought as a present for somebody who already has an exchange account, when it was picked up at a counter and then never redeemed, or when the buyer decided crypto was not for them.
The awkward part is that the code only converts through cryptovoucher.io, and the issuer runs its own identity checks before releasing larger redemptions. If you would rather not go through that, or the code has been sitting as a photo on your phone for months, selling it is the cleaner exit. At 95%, a 100 EUR code pays 95.00 EUR. The fee is a flat 5%, the same on every coupon we take; that 5% is our margin and the risk that a code turns out to be already claimed.
What to check before selling Crypto Voucher
A Crypto Voucher is an alphanumeric string on a till receipt or in a reseller email. There is no card, no PIN pad and no balance page, so value is confirmed at redemption rather than looked up in advance. Send the code exactly as printed, dashes included, and keep the receipt until you have been paid: it is your only evidence that the code was bought legitimately. The code is not locked to the country you bought it in, but the currency printed on it is fixed and cannot be requoted in the other one.
Codes are built to be redeemed in one step, so there is normally no half-used state: a code is either unused and pays the full 95%, or it has already been redeemed and is worth nothing to anyone. If yours does show a remaining balance, the same rate applies to it, so 40 EUR left pays 38.00 EUR. Rejections come down to a code already claimed, a mismatch between the currency you quoted and the one on the code, or a batch the issuer has blocked after a reseller reported it stolen. Only codes you own are accepted.

Crypto Voucher resale: your questions
- Is selling a Crypto Voucher code legal?
- Yes in most places, as long as the code is genuinely yours. A prepaid voucher is transferable property once you have bought or been given it, and selling your own property is ordinary commerce. Selling a code taken from someone else is not, and those are refused. The issuer's terms still govern redemption.
- Can I sell several codes at once?
- Yes, and each one is priced separately at the same 95%: four 50 EUR codes come to 190.00 EUR in total. There is no volume bonus. Batches that look more like stock than leftovers get a question about where they came from before any payment goes out.
- How quickly am I paid, and in which coin?
- Payment is in cryptocurrency to a wallet address you supply: BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL or LTC. The normal wait is about an hour from the point the code clears verification. We do not name an exact minute, because queue length and network congestion vary.
- Do I have to verify my identity to sell?
- Not for a standard sale. We check the code, not the seller, so no documents and no account are needed. The issuer's own platform does run identity checks before large redemptions, which is one reason people sell the code instead. We still decline anything whose origin does not add up.
- What if the code turns out to be already redeemed?
- Then no payment is made and you are told plainly. Nothing is deducted, and the code is not held or resubmitted by us. A redeemed Crypto Voucher cannot be reversed by anyone, including the issuer, so if the value went somewhere unexpected the question is who else has seen the code.
✱ Selling safely
We only accept codes you legitimately own. Giftreo never contacts you to ask for a code by email or private message — if someone does, it is not us. Codes are sent over HTTPS to our verification desk and are never shown back to you in full.
